An Epistle Written Unto The Christians
Jesus Christ has a name that we read of in many places in the Bible. This name is “The Word of God”. In the first chapter of the book of the Apostle John we read that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We read again in Revelation chapter 19 that when Jesus Christ comes riding on a white horse that his name is called “The Word of God”. Christian, do you believe that God’s Word is true? Could Jesus Christ (who is God) come in the flesh to save all mankind from their sins, die and rise again, ascend to heaven, and do a wondrous work of salvation in your life, and yet not preserve his word to be read by all the world, to his praise of power and glory? The answer is that with God all things are possible.
There are many Christians today who do not know where they can find God’s preserved word. Is it doubt? Certainly. Is doubt sin? Definitely. Anything that is not of faith is sin. So how can we know what is the true word of God, and what is false? This is a simple question, with a simple answer. Are you willing to receive it?
William Tyndale was a man born in the year 1494. He was born during a time of great uproar against the Catholic church, and in his middle years broke away from their teachings. He was educated as many of our children are today, and he described this learning thus:
They have ordained that no man shall look on the Scripture, until he be noselled in heathen learning eight or nine years and armed with false principles, with which he is clean shut out of the understanding of the Scripture.

This should ring some bells. Many Christians have succumbed to the worldly idea that there are good morals to be learned by the world, and so we allow our children’s minds to be destroyed by this learning. Yet as Christians we should understand that the best teacher is the Holy Ghost, by which the word of God was written (2 Peter 1). William Tyndale understood this, and wanted to disperse the Bible as freely as God had given it to us. The only obstacle to his goal was the Catholic church, who wanted the Bible to remain in Latin, a language the uneducated (which was the vast majority of England at the time) did not understand, neither could they read.
So what did William Tyndale do? He translated the scriptures into the English tongue and had it published through all of England. You owe it to his sacrifice, for he was killed for doing this, to read his translation. In fact, you’ll see greater than 85% of his translation if you read the Authorized Version of 1611, seeing as how they primarily used his work in that translation.
I challenge every Christian who reads this to see where their Bible came from. If you use any Bible other than the one God ordained then you are being duped by satan. Look at the history, gather the facts, that the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments (Psalm 78:6-7).
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:10-11
Tyndale wrote of the Holy Ghost bringing the foolishness of our so-called religious leaders to light for all to see. Now these heretics are in plain sight and yet Christians continue to keep their eyes closed. The world killed William Tyndale in 1536. Do you care, dear Christian, about his sacrifice?
No sacrifice was greater than that of Jesus Christ the Son of God. His name is called The Word of God, and yet Christians do not believe this. Are you a Christian? Do you know Jesus Christ as your savior? Have you repented of your sins to Christ? We do not hear these questions asked anymore, because what it means to be a Christian is different in everyone’s eyes, but in the eyes of him with whom we have to do it is simple. You need to repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior. That is the only way to be a Christian.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
